Mosinee Insurance and Aspirus Team up to Conduct
Workshop on Cutting Workers’ Comp Costs
MOSINEE, WI
(March 27, 2007) — Judy A. Jacobs, director of Comp-Save Solutions
for Mosinee Insurance Agency and a Certified WorkComp Advisor, and
Nancy Prince, RN, MS, COHN-S, Director of Aspirus Occupational Health,
will combine their expertise to reveal the facts behind cutting
Workers’ Compensation costs during a workshop on May 22 at
the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites at Cedar Creek, 1000 Imperial
Drive in Rothschild. The workshop, titled "You Can Cut Your
Worker’s Comp Costs,” is co-sponsored by The Business
News and Aspirus Occupational Health.
“Workers’ Compensation is totally different than any
other insurance coverage,” says Jacobs. “We are pleased
to have Nancy with us to discuss Workers’ Comp from a medical
perspective, and to discuss the important role an occupational health
clinic can play in reducing claims and the costs associated with
them.”
Among the many topics Jacobs will cover during the
workshop are:
• The true makeup of premiums
• Understanding the Experience Modification Report
• Identifying errors
• Reducing the mod rate
• Proactive claims management
• How a Certified WorkComp Advisor can help a business reduce
its WorkComp costs.
As Director of Aspirus Occupational Health, Prince will focus
on such issues as:
• How occupational health providers can help prevent injury
and save money after the injury occurs
• How fitness for duty exams and independent medical exams
impact your bottom line
• Implementing wellness programs as a business strategy
• How to improve worker health, productivity and your bottom
line
The two-hour workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A continental
breakfast will precede the workshop, beginning at 8 a.m.
“The business professionals that will most directly benefit
from the seminar are CEOs, CFOs HR managers, business owners and Workers’
Comp administrators,” says Jacobs. To register for the workshop,
