Judy Jacobs to Conduct Workshop
on Cutting Workers’ Comp Costs
Learn Proven Strategies for Reducing Your Workers’ Comp Expenses

MOSINEE, WI (January 3, 2007) — Why are 50% of all businesses overcharged for Workers’ Comp? If you are a CEO, CFO, HR Manager, business owner or administrator responsible for Workers’ Comp, can you afford not to find out the answer?

Judy A. Jacobs, director of Comp-Save Solutions for Mosinee Insurance Agency and a Certified WorkComp Advisor, will reveal the facts behind cutting Workers’ Compensation costs during a workshop on February 27th at the Portage County Business Council, 5501A Vern Holmes Drive in Stevens Point, titled "You Can Cut Your Worker’s Comp Costs.” The workshop is co-sponsored by The Business News.

“Workers’ Compensation is unlike any other insurance coverage,” says Jacobs. “The primary way to reduce Workers’ Compensation costs is to reduce the claims and the costs associated with them. That will be the focus of this very important seminar.”

Among the many topics Jacobs will cover during the workshop are:

• The true makeup of premiums
• Understanding the Experience Modification Report
• Identifying errors
• Reducing the mod rate
• Proactive claims management
• How a Certified WorkComp Advisor can help a business reduce its WorkComp costs.
The two-hour workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A continental breakfast will precede the workshop, beginning at 8 a.m.

Employers and business professionals involved with the Workers Compensation process will benefit from the workshop. “The businesses that will most directly benefit from the seminar are those that have an ‘experience modification rating’ on their Workers’ Comp policy,” says Jacobs. “This would be any business with an annual premium in excess of $6,000.”

To register for the workshop, contact Jacobs by email at judyj@mosineeins.com, download a faxable form from the Mosinee Insurance Workers’ Compensation web site, www.comp-save.com, or call Sarah at 800-752-8506.
