LOCAL BUSINESS AND EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP
A FIRST IN THE REGION
ASPIRUS OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, COMP-SAVE SOLUTIONS, NTC AND REI ENGINEERING
FORM SOLUTIONS 4 SAFETY PARTNERSHIP
MOSINEE, WI - Local professionals are teaming together to
assist industry in safety compliance and injury prevention. Aspirus
Occupational Health, Comp-Save Solutions, Northcentral Technical College
(NTC) and REI Engineering have partnered to provide local business
with a single source for coverage in all aspects of the safety compliance
challenges most companies face. This strategic partnership draws the
expertise of business, health care and education. The group’s
name, Solutions 4 Safety represents the four entities involved in
this innovative approach.
There is a void for businesses looking to comply with local, state
and federal safety compliance and many companies believe they have
to go outside of Central Wisconsin to get this type of turn-key service.
This new collaboration provides area companies the resources and support
needed to meet safety regulations. Aspirus Occupational Health provides
numerous occupational health services that can benefit employers and
employees through prevention, and managed injury care. Comp-Save Solutions
provides the analysis of your past and current worker’s compensation
rating to in-turn produce bottom-line savings to the company. NTC
provides the educational vehicle to train and educate the workforce
on current regulations. REI Engineering provides the on-site prevention
and implementation of safety compliance.
“Companies inherently want to create prevention programs that
are affordable and produce results,” stated local business owner
and safety partnership member Jeny Gustafson. “We are now able
to provide a single source for our businesses to get the assistance
needed to achieve these results.”
Many companies choose to get assistance on safety compliance and injury
prevention through outside sources. “Having a safe work environment
is good for everyone. There are too many regulations for most small
businesses to create a safety program that is in compliance with state
and federal regulations. With our consultant’s leadership, I
am very confident we have a safer workplace that can also withstand
the scrutiny of any state or federal agency,” stated local business
owner Ron Serwa of Vortex Tool.
The two biggest reason’s companies cite the need to comply with
safety regulations are cost savings and decreased employee turnover.
The numbers can be detrimental to a business. One disabling employee
injury can cost a company $29 thousand dollars and a fatality can
cost over $1 million dollars. Many people don’t understand that
past injuries determine future worker’s compensation rates.
Therefore, if you had an injury at your facility two years ago, you
are still paying the price within your current worker’s compensation
rates.
